Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 7 release date
Season 7 of Hearthstone Battlegrounds is slated for April 16, 2024. According to Blizzard, Season 7 is also going to introduce players to Battlegrounds Duos. This mode was first revealed at BlizzCon 2023. Since then, Blizzard has polished it up for its April 2024 launch date.
What is Hearthstone Battlegrounds Duos?
Battlegrounds Duos involves you and a partner queuing up together against three other teams. These teams also have two players each. Each team shares life totals and can pass each other cards through the Portal. This requires one gold. The goal is to work together in tag-team fights and bring home the Battlegrounds Duos crown.
In terms of the Hearthstone Battlegrounds Duos leaderboard, this is going to be a separate one from solo Battlegrounds.

If you don't already have a friend to play Battlegrounds Duos with, then don't worry. When the new mode arrives, you can simply enter the match queue by yourself. The game then pairs you off with a random player. You can take the opportunity to make a new friend.
Battlegrounds Duos heroes and more
The launch of Battlegrounds Duos features some Duos-specific heroes and cards as well. These include four heroes, 16 minions, and three Tavern spells.
As for other Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 7 features, they include a major update to minions in both Battlegrounds Duos and solo Battlegrounds. This involves 50 new minions, returning minions, a couple of new Tavern spells, Beasts rework, changes to Dragons and Mechs, and a slew of updates pertaining to balance.
