You won't have to wait long if you want to dive into Operation Frontlines as part of the Halo Infinite Spring Update. The anticipated update goes live very early in February.

On February 4, 2025, everyone can download the new update absolutely free. When that happens, you can check out everything that arrives in the game.

The way Battlepasses work is not changing. You can purchase it at any time before the operation ends to unlock it permanently, meaning you can finish it after the operation's completion. And it still comes with a free 20-tier track, but now the premium versions has 50 tiers to unlock.

Instead of just one full armor set, there are now four armor sets in the premium Battlepass with Operation Frontlines and the Halo Infinite Spring Update. What's more is that these are going to be future shop offerings that you can get much cheaper by purchasing the pass.

As well, free items from Battlepasses will end up in the Exchange once a new season begins. The premium version, yes, comes at an increased cost, but it is only doubled from previously and gives more than half the prior Battlepass content.

Lastly, in terms of cosmetic content, a new shop arrives with the Operation. It has a lot of ODST items for fans of that entry in the series. And we are sure there's quite a few of you out there. So, check those out for purchase when the update launches.

New weapon and tuning updates

Outside of the Battlepass and cosmetics comes a new weapon and sandbox tuning updates. That weapon is the Fuel Rod SPNKR. This variation of the SPNKR is exactly what you think it is, based on the name. It shoots Fuel Rod ammunition, with six in the mag and massive damage to offer.

Following that, the developers at Halo Studios brought up some tuning updates to several weapons to arrive with Operation Frontlines in Infinite. These updates are:

  • Frag Grenade - Slowed cast time, increased bounce
  • Heatwave - Reduced rate of fire, added vertical projectile spread
  • Bulldog - Reduced rate of fire, removed headshot multiplier
  • Stalker Rifle - Reduced rate of fire
  • Shock Rifle - Reduced magnetism from hip fire
  • Disruptor - Reduced ammo in ranked, decreased accuracy when fired rapidly
  • Assault Rifle - Removed headshot multiplier, decreased accuracy when fully auto, increased initial accuracy, reduced ammo in ranked

Alongside of these, you'll find ranked changes including a reset, new maps and modes added to the rotation, and even some Forge updates. You can check out all of the Spring Update tweaks and changes in the official blog.
