When is the Genshin Impact 5.0 Natlan update coming?

Eager to experience and explore Natlan, the newest Genshin Impact region? Check out when the Genshin Impact 5.0 update, which will bring Natlan, is scheduled.

The Genshin Impact version 5.0 update is scheduled for August 28, 2024. A special program live stream is scheduled to happen before the update, which will outline all of the new features that will come with it.

The biggest addition is, of course, Natlan. This marks the sixth playable region in the game, following the addition of Fontaine last year. Usually, the new region also comes with new mechanics for traversal, exploration, and even combat.

Additionally, three new playable characters will be added: Mualani, Kinich, and Kachina. We'll learn more about each of these players in the upcoming live stream.

The new area also means new enemies and new bosses. Even if you're not fond of any of the upcoming characters, it would be a good idea to stay ahead of the game and farm these enemies for their drops.

The Traveler's arrival in Natlan also spells the continuation of the Archon Quest. It took a short break after the story of Furina and Neuvillette concluded on Fontaine, but it will once again pick up the story. The Fatui's involvement in Natlan was also teased, with the prominent Fatui member being The Captain "Il Capitano."

Apart from the usual in-game content, HoYoverse also announced that they will update the "Stellar Reunion" event. This is the event that activates for returning players. Unfortunately, they have not yet provided details of the revamp. However, this means that they are expecting many players to return with this big update.
