Genshin Impact reveals McDonald’s collaboration: Exclusive items

Genshin Impact has revealed its collaboration with fast-food giant McDonald's. Players can get exclusive in-game rewards by purchasing limited-time meals during the Genshin x McDonald's collaboration.

The Genshin Impact x McDonald's collaboration will be available starting September 17, 2024 at participating branches in the U.S.

The Wings of Delicacies was previously only available in mainland China and South Korea after the collaborations with KFC and MEGA MGC Coffee, respectively. Now, players in the U.S. can acquire these along with a custom namecard with a special Deluxe Combo Meal.

The other exclusive meal is the Apple Pie, which will reward a custom recipe in-game, some Primogems, and more.

The collaboration was announced on the official McDonald's account. These account also has a Genshin Impact-themed look.

On X, the account is now named "mcdonalds teyvat" with the bio reading "lemme get uhhhhhh some mora those apple pies 9.17." Their header and profile photos have also been changed to reflect the game.

Genshin Impact and its developers are not new to collaborations. As said previously, there was a big collaboration with KFC in mainland China and another one with MEGA MGC Coffee in South Korea. Both featured physical and in-game goods as well as exclusive meals and products.

Other non-food collaborations include phone companies OnePlus, Xiaomi, and POCO as well as Cadillac. There is an ongoing collaboration with the S.E.A. Aquarium in Singapore. It features Sigewinne and other Melusines in an immersive marine exploration event. Fans can see cosplayers and acquire a commemorative ticket, pin, and stamp passport during the collaboration.
