A second wave of Xbox Game Pass January 2024 games are on the way, including the much anticipated Persona 3 Reload–and on launch day no less.

Microsoft revealed the second wave of its Xbox Game Pass January 2024 releases today, giving me a good reason to resub immediately. In addition to the much ado about the "Pokémon with Guns" of Palworld, Game Pass subscribers will get the remake Persona 3 Reload on Game Pass, at launch.

Set for release on Feb. 2, Persona 3 Reload is kind of a perfect Game Pass game. Those in the know about this update to a beloved classic are already all-in. However, if you are JRPG-curious then trying it out for free is a pretty good deal.

Let's look at what else was announced for the month.

Xbox Game Pass January 2024: Persona 3 Reload on Game Pass

Here's everything coming as part of wave two of Xbox Game Pass January 2024 release, along with their date.

  • Those Who Remain (Cloud, Console, and PC) - Jan. 16
  • Turnip Boy Robs a Bank (Cloud, Console, and PC) – Jan. 18
  • F1 23 (Console and PC) EA Play – Jan.18
  • Palworld (Cloud, Console, PC) – Jan. 19
  • Go Mecha Ball (Cloud, Console, and PC) – Jan. 25
  • Brotato (Cloud, Console, and PC) – Jan. 30
  • Persona 3 Reload (Cloud, Console, and PC) – Feb. 2

Honestly, being able to play Persona 3 Reload on Game Pass is rad. Admittedly, I am a hardcore fan of the Persona series. I own full vinyl sets of each game's soundtrack, plushies, and even bought multiple copies of the Persona Arena fighting games. I've played Persona 3 across multiple generations of hardware--It was one of my favorite PSVita games ever.

Which is all to say that I'm not in a super-big hurry to purchase it once more. However, I'll totally play it on Xbox Game Pass, along with everything else coming in January 2024. And isn't this the big selling point of Game Pass? Show up for the Persona 3 Reloads of the world, then be surprised by something like Brotato or Palword.

Now, where's my Persona 2 remake?
