One of the longest running esports series, here’s all you need to know about eNASCAR.

At its core, eNASCAR is an online racing simulation that brings the high-speed adrenaline rush of NASCAR to fans. Players can experience the thrill of NASCAR from the comfort of their homes, without the strenuous physical demands of an actual race. eNASCAR acts as the esports arm of NASCAR.

What is eNASCAR?

For several decades, fans have been wanting to experience racing. However, actual racing is a very physically demanding and competitive sport. The advent of eNASCAR was born out of a demand for an authentic NASCAR racing experience.

The eNASCAR Coca Cola iRacing series was founded in 2010 in partnership with iRacing. With technological advancements, eNASCAR has bridged the gap between the physical and the virtual. The best racers from all over the world compete to stand a chance to win $100,000.

The qualifying series is open to all drivers with an Oval Class A 2.0 License or higher. The series runs on Thursday nights and consists of two rounds.

The first round is open to any driver with an eligible Class A Oval license, while the second round will be narrowed down to only the top 70 drivers from Round 1.

NASCAR also runs the College iRacing series after partnering with the collegiate esports league NACE Starleague. The series uses the iRacing platform to host races. The races use the Truck series chassis and allow full-time college students to compete. They also stand a chance to win scholarships if they have a top-tier finish.

What’s new in eNASCAR 2024?

There have been multiple changes to eNASCAR 2024. There are new tracks, new race formats and road courses with cash and point bonuses.

“The eNASCAR Coca-Cola Series has been at the forefront of sim racing innovation for the past 15 years. With NASCAR and iRacing’s continued dedication, we’re injecting fresh excitement and innovation into the series. The 2024 schedule updates, new race formats and improved league infrastructure demonstrate our unwavering commitment to offering the pinnacle of sim racing experiences,”

Ray Smith, NASCAR director of gaming and esports.

Ten drivers compete for the playoffs by either winning a race or scoring the most points. The regular season kicks off with the Daytona International Speedway on February 13, 2024. The Brands Hatch circuit and Iowa Speedway kick off in April and June respectively.

eNASCAR serves as a training ground for professional drivers. They can train their strategies, timings and performance without the constraints of weather, time or logistics. Furthermore, it is the perfect platform for young aspirants to showcase their talents.
