Vampires: Bloodlord Rising is an open world action role-playing game (RPG) with building and crafting mechanics similar to Stunlock Studios’ V Rising. However, unlike V Rising, it plays from a third-person over-the-shoulder camera angle.

Vampires: Bloodlord Rising release date
Vampires: Bloodlord Rising will launch on October 23, 2025 on Steam, just in time for the Halloween season. Currently, there’s no word on a console release date. However, given its publisher’s history, it will likely arrive on PlayStaion 5 or Xbox Series X|S at some point.

Vampires: Bloodlord Rising takes place in the gloomy open world of Sangavia (Morrwind, much?), in which you play as a bloodthirsty vampire — out to complete quests, gather followers, and build your own castle.
The game’s open world has a wide range of environments, including lava-brewing mountains, dense forests, and suffocating swamps — all brought to life in Unreal Engine 5 (UE5).
You play as Dragos, the vampire protagonist with a chisled appearance. Your character’s growth depends on the choices you make via story and gameplay. It features a cinematic storyline with multiple endings. You can complete it solo or in co-op with a friend or a stranger.

Gathering followers and building your vampire castle is a huge aspect of gameplay. You can bite civilians to make them your vampire followers and assign them to various areas of building your castles. Additionally, you can romance transformed vampires.
Like V Rising, you can set up elaborate, multi-storeyed castles in Vampire: Bloodlord Rising. From adding imposing watch towers to decorative items like portraits and furniture, there are plenty of ways to build the castle of your dreams.
We don’t know the full extent of Bloodlord Rising’s crafting mechanics yet, but expect them to be in line with publisher Toplitz Productions’ other titles like Sengoku Dynasty and Farmer’s Dynasty 2.
