The EWC Foundation has announced Trackmania as the most recently confirmed tournament for the Esports World Cup, taking place in Summer 2026.

The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) closes the full 2026 game lineup with the addition of Trackmania. The announcement marks the beginning of a multi-year partnership between the EWCF and Ubisoft Nadeo, with a new tournament set to take place in August in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Trackmania joins the Esports World Cup in 2026

Trackmania was one of the big esports titles during the Electronic Sports World Cup’s run of tournaments from 2006 to 2015. More than a decade later, the game is back at the big stages, completing the full game line-up of the EWC 2026. There will be 24 tournaments happening next Summer.

"Trackmania has always been one of gaming’s purest level playing fields: same car, same track, no RNG. It is all about precision, memory, and nerve," said Fabian Scheuermann, EWC Chief Games Officer. "This is Trackmania stepping into the pinnacle of esports, validating its culture, attracting pro teams, and inviting a new generation to fall in love with competitive racing at its most honest."

The partnership launches a multi-year collaboration between the EWCF and Ubisoft Nadeo. "Bringing the game in that spirit to the EWC stage honors its strong legacy and opens new roads to success for players from around the world," stated Florent Castelnerac, Ubisoft Nadeo Managing Director.

New tournament boasts $500,000 prize pool

The Trackmania event at the Esports World Cup 2026 will feature 32 players competing in a fast-paced championship format for a $500,000 prize pool. The qualification pathway will include an open in-game qualifier, offering a direct route to the event. Eight players will qualify through Trackmania’s in-game system, with full details to be revealed alongside the game update on Jan. 26.

In the group stage, players will race in four-player lobbies using a double-elimination format. The top eight players from each group will advance to the Playoffs. The 16 remaining competitors will progress to single-elimination matches to determine the Trackmania champion in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Further details regarding the schedule, qualification process, and broadcast plans will be announced in the coming months. Notably, games such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, StarCraft II, and Rennsport will not be part of the 2026 lineup. The Esports World Cup 2026, however, welcomes three new titles: Trackmania, Fortnite, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.
