The Skull and Bones update 2.1 is here, detailing new fast travel methods and a tweak to the Manufactory Defense mode.

Skull and Bones Season 2 is sailing along, and with it comes update 2.1. The first major patch after the introduction of the new season brings plenty of bug fixes to help with performance and optimization.

That's not what has players excited, though. What everyone is really looking forward to with Skull and Bones 2.1 is the addition of several fast travel locations and a rework for the Manufactory Defense minigame.

Skull and Bones update 2.1 and its patch notes detail anticipated gameplay updates to generic bug fixes. There is also some new content arriving, such as a Torpedo weapon and new seasonally-themed armor.

Manufactory Defense changes

  • Reduced penalty timer for a failed Manufactory Defense

Call-For-Help updates

New fast travel locations have been added with Skull and Bones update 2.1.

  • Players can now fast travel to events (e.g. Elite Warship, Bounties) from land or from sea, at a silver cost based on distance if they are not involved in combat, and are not participating in Helm opportunities or other world activities like Helm Wager, Cutthroat Cargo, etc.
  • Players can fast travel to plunderable POIs when responding to a call-for-help initiated by another player at no silver cost.
  • Calls-for-Help: Players responding to a call-for-help initiated by another player can fast travel to the activity (e.g. World Event) at no silver cost.

Important Skull and Bones 2.1 bug fixes

There is a long list of bug fixes coming with the Skull and Bones 2.1 update. We've put together the most important ones for you here:

  • Fixed an issue where the Master Distillers upgrade does not work when a player is offline.
  • Fixed an issue where players could see other players visually sunken into the ground.
  • Improved overall stability for Xbox platforms, Ship Upgrades, and other general stability improvements.
  • Fixed an issue where accepting a group invite would redirect a player to the title screen instead of the group's server.
  • Fixed an inconsistent background display in the Manufactory Buyout tutorial during gameplay.
  • Fixed an issue where the Manufactory Under Siege tooltip did not disappear after an unsuccessful Manufactory Defense.
