Here's how long you have till the Games Begin!
Roblox The Games is a promotional event that brings content creators, developers, and players together for unique creations. This time, the event – Roblox The Games features five teams of three content creators each. Bringing the excitement of players and fans alike to the screen, The Games 2024 will be something to watch out for in August. Here’s when Roblox The Games starts and when it will come to an end.
When does Roblox The Games start?
Roblox The Games event kicks off on August 1, 2024. A few days before the start of the event, the official Twitter handle released a timer. The timer counts down to zero at 1 pm EST. We have also embedded a timer below for you to keep track.

What platforms will Roblox The Games release on?
Roblox The Games will release on multiple platforms including the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Android and Apple, and VR.
Roblox The Games will feature multiple content creators and teams. Players can earn badges and can also win team jerseys and accessories as and when they collect badges after joining a team. Roblox The Games will feature two different types of rewards. The rewards include the free UGC items. Players will also have the opportunity to earn other items that need to be bought with Robux.
How to compete in The Games Event
- Go to The Games hub.
- Earn Shines and Silver by exploring participating experiences, finding special items, completing quests, and collecting Badges.
- Use Shines and Silver to unlock prizes in the hub.
- The more Shines and Silver you earn, the more points you score for your team.
- The team who has the most points at the conclusion of the event wins.
Once you’ve discovered items and completed quests to collect Badges, return to The Games hub to receive your Shines and Silver and redeem items. Each item requires earning a predetermined number of Shines or Silver to redeem.
You can keep track of your progress in The Games hub. See how many Badges, Shines, and Silver you have earned and which items you’ve unlocked.
Shines and Silver are redeemable currency that you can earn by collecting Badges in The Games event. They can be redeemed for exclusive rewards and items. Badges are collected when you find items and complete quests in participating experiences, earning you Shines and Silver in The Games hub.
The Games hub is available on mobile, PC, console, and VR. Some experiences may only be available on certain platforms. You might need to grab another device type if you have run out of quests on your device. We’ve designed The Games event so you don’t have to complete 100% of the quests to earn all the items. However, some users may be unable to complete enough quests to earn all of the items due to restrictions based on parental controls or platform requirements.
If you’re having issues, you can always skip and return to that quest later. Try asking friends or visiting the experience detail page to see if they’ve provided any tips. We’ve designed The Games event so you don’t have to complete 100% of the quests to earn all the unlockable items.
Once you choose a team in The Games, you’ll remain with that team for the entire event. Switching teams is not allowed, so please make your decision carefully before selecting your team.
