September 24, 2024 marks the day of a new PlayStation State of Play. This edition focuses on new and existing properties under the Sony and PlayStation banner. The lengthy showcase had plenty of things for you to look forward to.

From immediate game releases to the returns of iconic franchises, here is everything they showed us during the PlayStation State of Play on September 24, 2024.

New Astro Bot speedrun levels

Five new Astro Bot speedrun levels are coming to the platformer. The developers have stated it is part of a free update sometime in Fall 2024.

The Midnight Walk announcement

A new horror game heavily inspired by claymation was announced. Wishlists are available for now for PS5 and PS VR2.

Hell is Us gameplay reveal trailer

Hell is Us is an action-adventure game set in a war-torn country. At first glance, it appears to be a Soulslike title, and some of its creatures are downright creepy. The PlayStation State of Play showcased its first gameplay trailer.

Metro Awakening VR release date

The State of Play delivered a new trailer for Metro Awakening on the PS VR2. It provided the information that pre-orders are now available and that the game releases on November 7, 2024.

ArcheAge Chronicles announcement

A new ArcheAge Chronicles was revealed. It is an online action RPG set 50 years after the original version. The fantastical world allows for skill mastery, exploration, and home customization.

Palworld is out on PlayStation now

Palworld is in the news for its current lawsuit dished out by Nintendo. That isn't stopping it from making waves elsewhere, however. The previous PC and Xbox exclusive finally arrives on PlayStation, as the State of Play announced it is available the date of (September 24).

Lunar Remastered Collection announcement

Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete are a couple of classic JRPGs from PlayStation's past. At the State of Play, PlayStation announced remasters of the two titles for Spging 2025, with plenty of enhancements.

TMNT: Shredder's Revenge DLC reveal

The popular side-scrolling beat 'em up of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge is getting some DLC. Radical Reptiles brings two new favorites, Mondo Gecko and Mona Lisa. It is available now on PS4 and PS5.

Sonic x Shadow Generations - Sonic 3 movie pack

In collaboration with Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Sonic x Shadow Generations is getting a movie pack. On December 12, content with Keanu Reeves voicing Shadow that coincides with the movie is arriving to the game.

Fantasian Neo Dimension release date

Hironobu Sakaguchi and composer Nobuo Uematsu return to deliver an original RPG story. The game releases on December 5, 2024.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard Mage Build showcase

Bioware issued a deep dive into the Mage class for Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

Alan Lake 2 Lake House expansion

A first look at the Alan Lake 2 Lake House expansion, set in a new location. It arrives in October.

Hitman World of Assassination announcement trailer

The popular virtual reality version of Hitman is coming to PS VR2 in December.

Legacy of Kain Soul Reaver 1-2 Remastered

The reveal of a Legacy of Kain remaster was rumored before this PlayStation State of Play. Well, it is no longer a rumor. The games come together and are available on December 10, 2024.

Fear the Spotlight release date

A horror-themed storytelling and puzzle solving adventure known as Fear the Spotlight has a release date. It is coming to PS4 and PS5 on October 22, 2024.

Towers of Aghasba gameplay trailer

Towers of Aghasba is an action-adventure game with a focus on building. The fantasy world is challenging, where you must rebuild your civilization and the ecosystem.

LEGO Fortnite splitscreen and Fortnite controller reveal

Splitscreen mode is coming to LEGO Fortnite in October. It allows users to play on the same PS4 and PS5. As well, a limited edition Fortnite controller comes later in the year. Pre-orders begin on October 3, 2024.

Dynasty Warriors Origins overview

A new overview trailer for Dynasty Warriors Origins was shown during the PlayStation State of Play. It was revealed to have a release date of January 17, 2025.

Monster Hunter Wilds release date

Next up was another release date trailer. The long-awaited Monster Hunter Wilds is arriving on February 28, 2025. New details in its trailer were revealed alongside the launch date.

LEGO Horizon Adventures pre-order trailer

Aloy heads to the land of LEGO. The iconic building blocks give new life to the heroine with LEGO Horizon Adventures. A release date of November 14 was announced, with pre-orders starting on October 3.

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered announce trailer

PlayStation is no stranger to remastering games. They remaster titles for either PC or their latest generation console all the time. So, of course the LEGO Horizon Adventures news was followed by the reveal of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered.

Stellar Blade updates and NieR: Automata crossover

The PlayStation State of Play revealed that Stellar Blade is getting a new photo mode and a collaboration with its inspiration, NieR: Automata. The game's original soundtrack is now available to stream, too.

PS5 Chroma Collection

Sony introduced the Chroma Collection for its PS5 consol. Chroma Pearl, Chroma Indigo, and Chroma Teal are the three available colors with pre-orders starting on October 3. Accessories launch at separate dates.

PS5 Pro game lineup

We already knew about some PS5 Pro games that are getting an upgrade. During the State of Play, Mark Cerny showcased a sizzle reel of these games alongside multiple enhanced titles revealed for the first time.

Ghost of Yōtei announcement

Instead of Ghost of Tsushima 2, a new Ghost game was revealed. A beautiful trailer showcased Ghost of Yōtei and announced its arrival to PS5 at some point in 2025.
