Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition release date, games included, and price

Players will be able to submit their best speed runs and compete in a global leaderboard.

Nintendo announced on May 8 that Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition will come out in July for Switch.

This game is a collection of 13 NES games with over 150 speed-running challenges players can complete. It will also feature global online leaderboards, and support up to eight local players.

Additionally, Nintendo Switch owners with an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription can participate in the World Championships Mode and submit their best speedruns in the rotating weekly five challenges.

The game will be released exclusively for Nintendo Switch on July 18.

How much does Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition cost?

Nintendo Switch owners can choose between the Digital Version ($29.99) or the Deluxe Set ($59.99). The Deluxe Set is expensive because it includes a physical copy of the game, a golden replica of the NES cartridge, one art card for each of the 13 NES games included in the collection, and five pins.

Both versions are already up for pre-order at Nintendo's official store. The game will be Nintendo's third big release for Switch in a row as Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is coming out on May 23 and Luigi's Mansion 2 HD will release on June 27.
