With The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time supposedly getting a remake later this year, one leaker claims we will also get a Zelda-themed Switch 2.
In the recent days, a huge leak has hit the internet, claiming that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will be getting a remake for the Switch 2. No, not a remaster, but an entire remake. Additionally, another leak has surfaced that claims Nintendo also plans to release an Ocarina of Time-themed Switch 2.

Supposed Ocarina of Time-themed Switch 2 to release later this year (or early 2027)
The popular game, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, is known for its historic mark its left within the gaming industry. In fact, many suggest the game paved the way for all future RPGs. With its high ratings, beautiful story and expansive world, those who have played Ocarina of Time understand the weight it holds within the gaming community and in people’s hearts.
And now we are getting an official remake.
This is an incredibly ambitious project for Nintendo to take on, but with it being Zelda’s 40th anniversary this year, we should expect no less.
Well, it would seem as if the company may be adding a bit more spice to this remake, with an official Ocarina of Time-themed Switch 2, which could release alongside the game’s release or maybe a few months after.
Release date
At the moment, we do not know the game or the themed Switch 2’s release date. Popular leaker, Shpeshal Nick, took to the internet to share the news last night, claiming that Nintendo is planning to release an Ocarina of Time Switch 2.
In his post, Nick claims that from what has been told, there will be a Zelda-themed Switch 2, which will be limited edition. He also stated that he is unsure whether or not the console will release alongside the game’s release.
So, when will it release? Well, if it does release with the game, then it would be sometime during the 2026 Holiday season, as that’s when it’s rumored that the Ocarina of Time remake will release. However, this limited edition Switch 2 could easily release after, at the beginning of 2027, or even in the fall of this year.
We are still waiting on confirmation from Nintendo regarding the game and the limited edition console.
