Marvel Rivals is having another test — this time a Closed Beta — which is set to include PS5 and Xbox Series X/S players in July.

The summer 2024 PlayStation State of Play featured over a dozen titles. One of those was Marvel Rivals, which included a few special announcements. Not only are Venom and Adam Warlock arriving, but a Closed Beta is coming in July for console players itching to finally try Marvel Rivals.

The third-person superhero battler delivered a new trailer at the State of Play. It showed off a few things console players may not be familiar with, having only been tested on PC in the past.

If you remember, the game had an extremely popular Closed Alpha Test in May. It looks like things are progressing positively now, as Marvel Rivals' upcoming July test has been labeled a Closed Beta.

Alongside that, let's take a look at the State of Play's focus:

  • A showcase of Team-Up Abilities
  • More environmental destruction
  • Adam Warlock and Venom added
  • PlayStation 5 exclusive Scarlet Spider costume for Spider-Man at launch
  • Tease of the Wakandan Ancestral Plane

And while the trailer was during PlayStation's State of Play, announcing the July Closed Beta, it is important to note that consoles are just an addition. PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam will all have access when it goes live.

So far, all we know about the upcoming Closed Beta for Marvel Rivals is that it takes place in July 2024. They gave no other details than that.

At the time of the announcement, July is just over a month away, so we should know more soon. That includes full dates, any new features compared to the Closed Alpha Test, and exactly how you can sign up to take part.
