Battlefield 6 still has no release date, but many are still sceptical about whether or not the game will save the series.
Battlefield 6 is on the way, after many expected a release date for the next title in the series during a reveal video on July 24, 2025. For months, we have heard many conflicting stories relating to the upcoming title in the first-person shooter genre. While testing has been at a peak for BF6, players remain extremely sceptical about what is to come. As the game that could make or break the franchise, we will have to wait a bit longer to see what the outcome will be.
Battlefield 6 release date not confirmed
In May of 2025, the Electronic Arts (EA) earnings call gave us a major hint towards the possible announcement of a release date for BF6. During this call, Andrew Wilson, CEO of EA, spoke on the top of the next game in the series.
“As we look to the future, we’re confident in our ability to execute across a deep pipeline – beginning this summer with the highly anticipated reveal of Battlefield, a pivotal step in delivering on our next generation of blockbuster entertainment.”
From that, players learned that a summer reveal was on the way, and today, we hoped to get a release date for Battlefield 6.

In a reveal premiere made via YouTube, EA did not confirm the exact release date for the game. However, they did add that another reveal trailer for the multiplayer would be coming on July 31.
Many unconfirmed leaks and rumors have been spreading over the last few days. Some point to an October 10 release date for the title. While also mentioning the game's pricing. Included in these leaks has been mention of an open beta. According to the unconfirmed reports, this will be heading our way in August. Dates for this have not yet been confirmed, but we will provide more information as it becomes available.

Across all social media platforms, the mindfulness of players not wanting to fall into the trap of Battlefield 2042 has been visible from many reminding the community not to preorder. With the release date for Battlefield 6 not confirmed, we await to see if the franchise will survive or crumble. If the game is not up to scratch, the community will definitely be throwing the franchise to the wolves.
