Let's dive into everything you need to know about it.

Gen.G announces next Campus Takeover at Boston University

Following the success of last year’s event at the University of Kentucky, South Korea’s leading gaming organization, Gen.G, is returning with the Campus Takeover, this time at Boston University. In partnership with McDonald’s Gaming New England, the event will provide tips and guidance to help aspiring gamers kickstart their esports careers. You'll be able to watch inspiring keynotes, professional industry panels, and networking opportunities.

"While attending panel discussions and networking events, attendees will immerse themselves in the esports industry and learn how to best support the growing esports communities on their campuses and in their region," the event description detailed.

Over the past few years, Gen.G has expanded its presence around the collegiate esports and gaming space in the US, having now two educational institutions as partners: the University of Kentucky and Eastern Michigan University.

In recognition of its impact, the 2023 Campus Takeover edition at the University of Kentucky won the Collegiate Esports Program of the Year award at the 2023 Esports & Gaming Business Summit Tempest Awards. The conferences continued in the following years, with Kentucky hosting another edition in 2024, followed by two planned events at Syracuse University and Marymount University in September 2025.

When is the event happening?

The Campus Takeover is happening on Oct. 11, but you can register for free to receive more information about it in the next weeks. All you need to do is go to Eventbrite's official page and get your free tickets. The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET.

Campus Takeover is open to anyone interested in the gaming world, students, esports fans, professionals, administrators, and more. Everyone is welcome! While the event is free, the organizers recommend registering through the Eventbrite page to ensure enough lunch and gift bags for all attendees.
