Game Porting Toolkit 2 and Game Mode for iOS

Focusing more on the technology behind gaming, Apple announced Game Mode for iOS at WWDC 2024. The device will minimize background tasks to improve your experience. Game Mode will also feature lower latency for AirPods and game controllers to make your gaming feel snappy.

On the developer side, Game Porting ToolKit 2 will be a major update to the technology allowing all of these Mac ports. Firstly, the kit will feature improved compatibility between Windows and macOS. This will allow for easier porting to Mac with low overhead. Similarly, a new compatibility between iOS and macOS will allow desktop games to be easily ported to iPhones and iPads.
