FF7 Rebirth director asks fans to not make innapropriate mods

Excited for FF7 Rebirth to come to PC here soon? Well, with how popular the 2012 remastered game was with modding, the game's director, Naoki Hamaguchi, has asked gamers to stray away from making inappropriate mods.

A large appeal to the FF7 remake, that was released on PC, was the endless possibilities modders had with making the game more advanced and more. In fact, players have spent time over the last decade formatting the game with different mods to make a more fun and accessible experience.

With these mods, though, came a dark era of inappropriate and offensive mods revolving around different characters within the game. When we say gamers could change almost any aspect of the game, we mean it.

Well, the FF7 Rebirth director has expressed his concerns about modding the game on PC, hoping that fans will listen to his encouragement.

Excited to explore the world of modding when FF7 Rebirth releases? Well, despite Naoki Hamaguchi's concerns, he has assured fans that he is still very supportive of mods within the game.

"While the team has no plans for official in-game mod support," said Hamaguchi, "we respect the creativity of the modding community and welcome their creations—though we ask modders not to create or install anything offensive or inappropriate."

In the past, many inappropriate mods, including nudity, were downloaded from the internet by more than 100,000 players.

While Hamaguchi's words may not be followed by many modders out there, it would seem as if the game's director is hopeful that many will abstain from creating inappropriate mods. Whether the company will really crack down on inappropriate mods is left to be seen.

Still, though, it is relieving to see how supportive Hamaguchi is of modding in general, as many modders have helped to improve the game by quite a milestone.

This popular mod pushes your sidekicks to attack more often instead of standing around idly. A large complaint within the game was that sidekicks lacked any sort of aggression when you are fighting enemies. Now, with this mode, players were able to get the extra help they needed.

This mod lets players dress Tifa in her popular China dress, which can also be used in battle. This dress has become extremely popular with fans of the character of the last decade, so getting to wear it whenever you want has become a massive staple within the game's PC community.

This incredibly popular mod lets players play as Cloud when he is wearing his famous Kingdom Hearts outfit. With Cloud being one of the biggest characters in the universe, many fans have longed for his popular outfit from the Disney RPG.
