Popular Bethesda titles, Fallout 4 and Oblivion Remastered, have officially been announced to come to the Nintendo Switch 2, and it will be sooner than you think.
In a recent turn of events (only because it wasn’t a new Skyrim announcement), Nintendo announced that the popular Bethesda titles, Fallout 4 and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, will be coming to the Switch 2. This announcement was made during Nintendo’s 3rd Party Direct, which took place earlier this morning (February 5, 2026).
Here is everything we know, including a release date for both titles on the Switch 2 and more.
Both Fallout 4 and Oblivion Remastered announced for Switch 2
‘Nintendo’s 3rd Party Direct had quite a few big announcements, but nothing turned heads as much as Fallout 4 and Oblivion Remastered coming to the Switch 2. While Fallout 4 has been out for a decade now, Oblivion Remastered only just released in 2025, making this a big win for fans of the popular RPG.
Also, let’s just be thankful that we did not get another Skyrim port.

One aspect to be excited about, though, is the fact that Fallout 4’s port to the Switch 2 will be the Anniversary Edition, which will include ever DLC. This means that people will not only get to explore The Commonwealth, but Far Harbor (my personal favorite) and more.
The Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition will release on Switch 2 February 24, with physical copies landing in stores on April 28.

For those excited about Oblivion Remastered coming to Switch 2, you will have to wait until May 12 for its release. However, nothing will beat seating the vibrant world of Oblivion while on-the-go.
