Prepare for a hellish experience in a retro-futuristic Eastern Europe.

Wondering what Cronos: The New Dawn system requirements are? You're in the right place! After last year’s stellar Silent Hill 2, Bloober Team is back with another survival-horror title, Cronos: The New Dawn. It’s a visual powerhouse set in a retro-futuristic Eastern Europe.

However, like SH 2 and Mafia: The Old Country, Cronos: The New Dawn is an Unreal Engine 5 game. Whether you’re a budget or a high-end PC user, this does require a healthy dose of skepticism, especially given the state of most UE5 games at launch.

As such, in this guide, we break down Cronos: The New Dawn system requirements, both minimum and recommended ones. So you have an idea of whether your PC can handle this upcoming sci-fi survival horror title.

Cronos: The New Dawn’s PC minimum requirements are surprisingly modest compared to other upcoming UE 5 titles, presumably because it’s also coming to Switch 2. Both the processor and GPU requirements are not demanding and are in line with last year’s SH 2 remake.

It also requires similar storage space, which is a blessing in a year where most AAA titles demand 80 GB+ storage space. As of this writing, it’s unclear whether an SSD is mandatory. We assume it will be necessary, if not essential, for a smooth experience.

On the other hand, the recommended requirements for Cronos: The New Dawn are on par with most modern UE5 titles, even slightly higher than games like Silent Hill f. You will need at least an RTX 3080 or RX 6800-XT GPU for an optimal experience, which isn’t surprising given how raytracing-heavy this game experience looks to be.

It’s worth noting that Bloober Team hasn’t revealed Cronos: The New Dawn’s expected performance for these requirements, except that it targets 1080p resolution on recommended settings.

Cronos: The New Dawn will be available on September 5, 2025, for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. You can also pre-order the $69.99 Deluxe Edition to get 48-hour early access to the game.
