At Tokyo Game Show 2025, Capcom announced that Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will be playable on Xbox One this November.
Tokyo Game Show 2025 is well underway, and Capcom made two announcements for fans of Monster Hunter Stories. This title and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will soon be playable for the first time ever on the Xbox One. These games will also be available on Xbox Series X|S.
As for those with a Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, or PC, there's no need to wait as Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin are currently available at discounts of up to 50% off.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin on Xbox One
According to Capcom's official announcement, Xbox One owners will be able to adventure across the Monster Hunter world starting Nov. 14. In Monster Hunter Stories, they'll be able to befriend Monsties and duke it out in turn-based combat. Meanwhile, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will let folks experience a refined combat system and a high-stakes quest.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection release date
These two adventures will lead up to Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection. In terms of this new title's release date, it will be March 13, 2026. The available platforms will include the Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch 2, and PlayStation 5.
According to Capcom, the game will take place in a world facing environmental turmoil. Players will have to restore damaged ecosystems and protect endangered monsters. They'll also be able to ride on the backs of monsters even during combat.
"The journey will allow players to freely explore the wide world of Monster Hunter by climbing and flying on the backs of monsters," Capcom explained. "These Riding Actions also extend into combat, with special attacks to gain the upper hand when starting battles."
