When is Jack Sparrow coming to Fortnite? Answered
It has been 100% confirmed that Jack Sparrow is coming to Fortnite thanks to Epic Games pulling the trigger on an upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean event pass early. Some players have already purchased the "Cursed Sails Pass." This limited-time mini Battle Pass allows players to unlock various POTC-themed items. One such reward is the man himself, Captain Jack Sparrow.
Those lucky enough to load into Fortnite and purchase the Premium pass have already received the Jack Sparrow skin. However, Epic Games has confirmed that Jack Sparrow will officially be coming to Fortnite on July 19. This news arrived via the Fortnite Status account on X. The post explains that anyone who purchased the Premium Cursed Sails Pass must wait to progress through the tiers, but all buyers will retain the Jack Sparrow skin.
The early release was evidently a mistake, as you can no longer purchase the Cursed Sails Pass. Regardless, only a few players unlocked Jack Sparrow early, and all others must wait until July 19.
