The Milk Cup 2025 Series 3

After duking it out in this iteration of The Milk Cup Open Qualifiers, only the best of the best made it to the Main Event. This Fortnite esports tournament kicks off on Aug. 21 and features duos fighting across six Battle Royale matches. Whichever teams make it to the top 20 get spots in the LAN Finals.

Earlier this year, Nina and Vader claimed spots in the LAN Finals by cleverly outbuilding their opponents and racking up eliminations. Nina credited her confident gameplay to trusting Vader, who led them both as the in-game leader (IGL). While other teams went for aggressive strategies, they focused on consistency. With calm and focus, this duo collected a total of 396 points and dominated the leaderboard for the majority of the tournament.

Meanwhile, just last month, Fraanticc and Kanary scouted out their competition and constantly went for the high ground as part of their strategy. They claimed strong spots, remained hypervigilant about their surroundings, and attacked anyone who got close to them. In total, this duo achieved three Victory Royales, 46 eliminations, and 405 points.

Interestingly, Fraanticc and Kanary didn’t even have to go all out since they had already qualified through The Milk Cup 2025 Series 1 alongside Nina and Vader. This goes to show the strength and consistency of their gameplay throughout the series.

The Milk Cup 2025 and its impact on Fortnite esports

In a recent interview with esports.gg, MilkPEP senior marketing manager Jennifer Grubb and Raidiant founder Heather Garozzo talked about the real impact that The Milk Cup has on women in Fortnite esports.

“Last year, for over 60% of our players, it was their first time competing in a tournament,” Grubb said, referring to the inaugural LAN Finals. “So bringing in that new generation of competitive women esports players — and then also having so many of them return because they had a positive experience last year — it’s really heartwarming to see.”

Grubb noted that each broadcast since 2024’s first qualifier has outperformed the previous one. The circuit itself is also an S-tier one, which is quite significant for a Fortnite series for women.

Meanwhile, Garozzo told esports.gg that although about half of all gamers are women, many of them face intimidation and barriers to esports. Therefore, by working with The Milk Cup, Raidiant helps lower barriers through safer and more welcoming spaces. The Milk Cup Academy, for example, launched earlier this year and provides all-women scrims to help achieve this goal.

“It’s about the practice, it’s about the camaraderie, it’s about finding other teammates, and then it’s about the resources that we provide, too,” Garozzo said, referring to how the $2,000 prize pools from these scrims aren’t the heart of the academy initiative at all. Rather, the heart is the uplifting and supportive community.
