The famous weapon, the Combat Shotgun, will be returning to Fortnite for the new season.

Chapter 5, Season 3 is just a day away, and many are speculating on what weapons will be returning to the game. One of those weapons, the Combat Shotgun, seems to also be hitting the loot pool once again in Fortnite. Here is how we know.

The Combat Shotgun will be in Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 3

So how do we know the Combat Shotgun will return in Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 3? Well, the upcoming apocalyptic season has already given us a big hint at the infamous weapon's return.

Just the other day, Fortnite posted a small video on Twitter that featured the Fallout T-60 Power Armor. If you are unfamiliar with the T-60s, it is a massive piece of armor that the Brotherhood wears in the Fallout universe.

So, how does this relate to the Combat Shotgun? Well, if you look closely, one of the T-60s is wielding the popular weapon.

While to some, this may not be enough proof, Fortnite has never in the past shown us a gun in a trailer and then not included it within the game. It is safe to say that the Combat Shotgun will be returning in Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 3.

History of the Combat Shotgun

The Combat Shotgun first saw the light of day at the end of Chapter 1. The weapon was a heavy hitter with a crazy fast fire rate and range. Quickly, it became one of the greatest shotguns in the game.

Until it wasn't.

After being vaulted, the weapon finally returned again during Chapter 2 and had been nerfed immensely. The fire rate may have still been fast, but range and damage had been lowered significantly. This made a lot of players end up resenting the gun.

Since then, the weapon has been in the game only once or twice more, with small buffs, but has never returned to the quality it was at during its first run in Chapter 1.

Hopefully, with its return, the Combat Shotgun comes back greater than ever.
