Esports.gg spoke with AussieAntics and Peterbot before competing on LAN at the 2025 FNCS Pro-Am!
AussieAntics and Peterbot are among the favorites heading into this weekend's Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) Pro-Am. While the field features many talented players, this duo combines arguably the best player in the world with a creator who watches the game more than anyone.
Esports.gg had the chance to speak with AussieAntics and Peterbot ahead of the competition, which kicks off this Saturday, May 10, in Los Angeles, California. The topics covered ranged from the pair's preparations to the hypothetical question of whether Peterbot could defeat 20 creators himself.
AussieAntics has played more Fortnite in the last month than he has in the last two years
Despite being a prominent figure in the competitive Fortnite space, AussieAntics is notorious for his tournament viewing parties. He spends hours per week watching the best players in each region compete in high-level tournaments for cash and recognition.
As a result, Aussie doesn't spend too much time playing the game. When asked about his preparations for the FNCS Pro-Am, AussieAntics said he's played more recently than he has in two years.
"Everyone knows I don't play too much. I watch a lot, so I know what I need to do to be able to compete with these guys, but to actually do it is a different matter," he said. "I've probably played more in the last month than I have in the last two years, mostly to make sure mechanically I can keep up with these guys."
Mechanics were a significant part of the discussion, and there's arguably no player with mechanics superior to Peterbot. AussieAntics said he felt fortunate because "everyone wanted Peterbot as a teammate," so this is the perfect scenario for the creator.
Who are this duo's biggest threats at the FNCS Pro-Am?
With a field of professional players stretching across nearly every continent, the FNCS Pro-Am showcases talent from many different regions. However, Peterbot feels the combination of Fortnite World Cup Champion Kyle "Bugha" Giersdorf and creator Andre "Typical Gamer" Rebelo is atop the list of threats.
The five-time FNCS Champion believes Bugha's skills mesh with the well-rounded Typical Gamer, who is a much better player than some might think. AussieAntics feels the duo of Cody "XSET Clix" Conrod and Nick "FaZe Lacy" Fosco is a wild card for the Pro-Am.
Although Clix has grown familiar with the spotlight, Aussie believes their success will ultimately come down to how Lacy handles the pressure of playing on LAN beside his good friend.

What strategies will Team Aussiebot employ during the tournament?
It's no secret that having an optimal strategy in Pro-Am is a key component of a team's success. Interestingly enough, the approach is quite simple for AussieAntics and Peterbot. The longer Aussie can stay alive, the more eliminations Peterbot can rack up.
"I've just got to stay alive, that's my whole goal this weekend," said Aussie. "Pete can just keep coming back and keep going at them. As long as I'm alive, then we are good, Pete gets to keep fighting. We are incorporating the Reload strategy a lot."
Beyond staying alive, AussieAntics understands how he compares to the competition. He feels his efforts are best spent spraying at enemies with an Assault Rifle rather than making flashy plays. Aussie believes the skill gap between pros and creators is steep, so his focus will be defense over offense.
Fresh off of his FNCS Major 2 victory, Peterbot said his approach to Fortnite Reload is no different than Battle Royale. "I don't really approach it any differently. I just land and w-key," he said. We expect to see this method in full force as Peterbot attempts to win his second LAN tournament.
Could one Peterbot defeat 20 content creators in Fortnite?
Given Peterbot's status as arguably the best Fortnite player in the world, we wondered if the man himself believes he could take down 20 content creators. The specific rules for this 1v20 match would only feature unlimited builds and Shotguns, with no reloading.
Without much hesitation, Peterbot and AussieAntics agreed he would win. "I would just take good peaks, and they wouldn't be able to spray in or anything," said Peterbot.
Despite never believing he'd be in this position, AussieAntics will take the stage alongside Peterbot for the FNCS Pro-Am this weekend. A whopping $500K prize pool will be on the line with many of the most recognizable Fortnite personalities in attendance.
Tickets are still available for those looking to witness this event in person!
