The highly anticipated collaboration between the popular anime One Punch Man and Fortnite finally has a release date. Epic Games confirmed the crossover would arrive in-game on Wednesday, Aug. 27. It will feature three characters from the series as playable skins alongside other cosmetics.

Everything you need to know about the One Punch Man Fortnite collab

Epic Games kept this one close to the vest despite every player knowing it would arrive eventually. Sure enough, a formal announcement landed on Aug. 25, following many teasers over the preceding days. It confirmed that the hit anime would join Fortnite on Aug. 27.

The developers also revealed which characters would be available as part of the collaboration. Those include Saitama, Tatsumaki, and Genos. You can see a first look at Fortnite's version of these characters in the image above.

Unfortunately, the cosmetics beyond Saitama, Tatsumaki, and Genos are unknown. The assets typically leak within a day of the collaboration's launch, so we expect to see those start to surface over the next day.

Will this crossover feature more than just cosmetics?

All the details leading up to One Punch Man x Fortnite have revolved around the characters involved. That likely means we won't see any in-game items such as Mythics. It's possible that it could happen sometime down the line, but it's unlikely to occur on Aug. 27.

Ultimately, this is a cosmetic-based crossover and yet another anime Fortnite can add to its seemingly endless list. Leaker iFireMonkey has confirmed the initial Item Shop launch will remain available until Sept. 4, 2025. If successful, it's certainly possible that more characters could follow suit in the future.
