Mongraal talks why he chose to leave Fortnite and what brought him back

The famous Fortnite star, Mongraal, once left the world of gaming and content as a whole when he was on top of the world. A shining career thrown away. And for what? Well, with the competitive player coming back to the world of gaming and content, Mongraal shared with us just why he left Fortnite and what has brought him back.

One would think that when a creator has it all, the last thing they would want to do is leave the world of gaming and content. Mongraal, who had just placed in the top five during the 2019 Fortnite World Cup a few years before, had decided that a life revolving around gaming needed to be put on hold, indefinitely.

"I was so burnt out," said Mongraal in an exclusive interview. "When I was 13 or 14, I quit school. Since then, it was pretty much 16 hours a day just playing and not really having a social life."

As a kid, it is important to remember to give yourself a break and enjoy your adolescence.

"Doing that for four or five years during your teenage years gets to a point where you are so burnt out. So, I took a break and started traveling."

"Started traveling," however, is an understatement. The former Fortnite star looked to explore the world, trying to figure out more about himself and just what he wanted to do next.

However, traveling the world only held onto Mongraal for so long, as the creator decided it was time to get back into the world of gaming.

The famous Fortnite player came back during the return of OG Fortnite after a long hiatus. But why, though?

"It got to a point where I had done everything I wanted to do," said Mongraal. "I started just getting bored. Then, I heard that OG Fortnite was coming back, so I decided to return for a bit and see how the season goes."

And, well, the rest is history.

"And after that, I just stayed. It has been great ever since."

But regardless of the creator's return to the world of gaming and Fortnite, there was still the discussion of how fame at an early age impacted him.

"The biggest impact was not really being able to have a normal social life as a teenager. I was always locked in and playing the game and streaming."

Mongraal has no regrets, though, as the icon then stated that he would never trade any of it for the world.

A legend like Mongraal has quite the story when it comes to competing in Fortnite, and he made sure to let us know his biggest advice for young Fortnite players trying to break into the scene.

"If you're a competitive player and you're playing tournaments and stuff, you have to be streaming and recording and making content," said Mongraal when asked what the biggest piece of advice he would give to young Fortnite players was. "More than 70% of pro players that are really good don't stream and don't make any content."

Why, though, is Mongraal putting an emphasis on content creation in the pro Fortnite space?

"Content is the main driving factor of building a name for yourself and everything. Just create content when you are playing tournaments and doing good. That is pretty much the formula."

The biggest question, though, is whether or not Mongraal plans on staying in the streaming world as a Fortnite player or if he plans to do more with his content.

"We have a lot of cool plans for the future," said Mongraal. "Traveling to different countries and more. Maybe I'll integrate some form of fitness. "I know Red Bull has a super cool facility that I can work out at. I'll probably integrate that into my blog."

The creator has quite a few plans for expanding his content, filming and streaming himself traveling the world and keeping up with his fitness journey.

All of this comes just after the creator and pro Fortnite player announced he has officially signed with Red Bull Gaming. The popular organization has some of the greats on their roster, including the famous Fortnite player, MrSavage.

Mongraal is already shaping up to be a legend within the content world and not just competitive Fortnite.
