Michael Myers Fortnite skin: Release date and first look

“I spent eight years trying to reach him, and then another seven trying to keep him locked up because I realized that what was living behind that boy’s eyes was purely and simply… evil.”

Fortnitemares 2023 is underway, and who better to join Fortnite than Michael Myers? The embodiment of pure evil is the driving force behind the famous Halloween film series, where the white-masked slasher stalks and eliminates teenagers on Halloween night. Soon, players can eliminate their opponents in-game while playing as Michael Myers.

Here is what we know about Michael Myers in Fortnite, including a first look and the anticipated release date.

Epic Games released a first look at Michael Myers in the Fortnitemares 2023 patch notes, showcasing the base skin and other cosmetics. The Fortnite version of Michael Myers is accurate compared to the film series, so it should not disappoint true Halloween fans.

Beyond the Michael Myers Outfit is a pumpkin Back Bling with a kitchen knife stuck in it to complement Michael's kitchen knife Pickaxe. Finally, the Emote appears to be a musical keyboard, which we imagine plays the iconic Halloween theme.

When will Michael Myers come to Fortnite?

Epic Games has not announced an official release date for the Michael Myers Fortnite set. However, leaker iFireMonkey has revealed that the Michael Myers skin will be available in the Fortnite Item Shop on Tuesday, October 24, at 8 p.m. EST.

We expect to hear more about the correct release date in the coming days as Fortnitemares 2023 continues.

Michael Myers joining Fortnite opens the door for other horror movie slashers. Could Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Leatherface, Ghostface, and more follow suit? This concept always seemed impossible because of the graphic nature of those films. Also, Fortnite's primary audience is a younger demographic.

It seems all bets are off, and perhaps fans can expect more iconic slashers to become Fortnite skins down the line, but we will have to wait and see.
