LEGO Fortnite is finally adding the long-awaited NINJAGO update beginning on Thursday, Dec. 11. Here’s a complete overview!
The addition of NINJAGO to LEGO Fortnite dates back almost a full year, following a teaser at last year's State of Unreal event. Fresh off the launch of Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1, Epic Games has finally revealed the crossover many LEGO fans have anxiously awaited.
From a NINJAGO-themed LEGO Pass to a refreshed version of the Odyssey game mode, there's a lot to look forward to when the update drops on Thursday, Dec. 11. There's even more on the horizon, but for now, here's an overview of what to expect when NINJAGO arrives in Fortnite.
What NINJAGO characters are coming to Fortnite?
Four characters from NINJAGO are coming to Fortnite as part of this collaboration: Zane, Jay, Cole, and Kai. The first three will be available in the Fortnite Item Shop, while Kai is exclusive to the LEGO Fortnite NINJAGO Pass. With each skin, you will receive a LEGO version and another usable in Battle Royale.

As per the Epic's own words, this is the first time these characters have taken a life-size non-LEGO form. Kai, as shown above, is instantly unlockable upon purchasing the Premium LEGO Pass. While unconfirmed, Zane, Jay, and Cole are expected to appear in the Item Shop on or after Dec. 11.
Furthermore, another wave of LEGO Fortnite NINJAGO will occur in 2026, adding Lloyd, Nya, and Wu. As noted by Fortnite leaker HYPEX, their Fortnite designs will mirror those shown in the image above.
Here's a complete list of NINJAGO characters in Fortnite:
Wave 1 (Dec. 11)
- Kai (LEGO Pass)
- Jay (Item Shop)
- Zane (Item Shop)
- Cole (Item Shop)
Wave 2 (2026)
- Lloyd
- Nya
- Wu
The Premium LEGO Pass also features NINJAGO-inspired buildings that you will unlock over time. There are additional rewards available in the Free and Premium tracks of the Pass.
What's new in the LEGO Odyssey update?
The Odyssey update takes you on a journey to become a master of the elements. Your goal is to perfect the ice, lightning, and earth abilities ahead of "the final showdown," which may or may not be against a fire-breathing dragon.

Some other additions to the LEGO Odyssey NINJAGO update include a Spinjitzu scroll, nunchucks, and shurikens. You can expect all of this and much more when the LEGO Fortnite NINJAGO update drops on Dec. 11. Whether you're a fan or not, it's definitely something worth checking out.
