Goku Black is the latest Dragon Ball character expected to become playable in Fortnite.

The Fortnite x Dragon Ball collaboration has been ongoing since August 2022, and it's one of the most successful in the game's history. It's not quite over yet either, as recent leaks within the scene indicate another version of Goku, dubbed Goku Black, is heading to Fortnite.

Numerous reputable sources have confirmed a Goku Black Fortnite skin is in the works. Here is everything we know so far.

PlayStation leak and updated release date for Goku Black

The initially reported May 9 release date provided no sign of Goku Black in the item shop. However, a recent PlayStation leak confirms that the character is heading to Fortnite. As reported by Twitter user PokketOfficial, a Goku Black teaser appeared in the PlayStation Store on May 11.

This update prompted a follow-up by Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR, who revealed that Goku Black should appear in the Fortnite item shop on May 12 or May 13. The precise date is unclear, but you can expect to get your hands on this skin relatively soon. HYPEX reported that the outfit carries a pink hair variant for the Dragon Ball Super villain.

When is Goku Black coming to Fortnite?

While Epic has not announced an official release date, GMatrixGames was the first to report the Goku Black Fortnite outfit. Since the news broke, fellow leaker HYPEX indicated the skin could arrive on May 9, or Goku Day.

Goku of the popular Dragon Ball anime series first appeared last summer in Fortnite. The initial Dragon Ball collaboration included Goku as a purchasable skin alongside Vegeta, Bulma, and Veerus.

Fortnite x Dragon Ball resurfaced again in January 2023 with Son Gohan and Piccolo. This ongoing relationship paved the way for a Goku Black Fortnite skin, which will reportedly happen "soon," according to various sources. As mentioned earlier, leakers believe the character may drop into Fortnite on May 12 or May 13.

What is different about this version of Goku?

Gokū Burakku, or Goku Black, is an alternate version of the beloved anime character. He appeared particularly in Dragon Ball Super; the first Fortnite collaboration was based upon.

Unlike the Goku many know and love, Goku Black is a villain in Dragon Ball Super. Goku Black even encounters himself in the series, something you will soon be able to recreate in Fortnite.

It's unclear whether Goku Black will have a separate skin or if it will be an alternate style. We expect to learn more over the next few days, but many believe May 9 to be the release date.
