Michael Scott and Dwight Schrute will soon take their lunches from The Office to spend some time as Fortnite skins!
Fortnite dropped its first teaser ahead of the now confirmed collab with the legendary TV show "The Office," and it's iconic. Along with that information, leakers have since confirmed which of The Office's "nostalgic TV duos" will soon become playable Fortnite skins. Here's everything we learned from the latest round of Fortnite x The Office leaks.
Michael Scott and Dwight Schrute will soon join Fortnite
Dedicated viewers of The Office could not possibly mistake the image and caption above for anything other than a reference to one of the show's most iconic scenes. Rather than "Bears. Beets. Battlestar Galactica," we instead have "Build. Beets. Battle Royale." A minor yet hilarious spin on the original quote.
This information confirmed the rumored collaboration. What followed was a leak from AdiraFNInfo, indicating that the Regional Manager and Assistant (to the) Regional Manager, Michael Scott and Dwight Schrute, would be the two characters from The Office getting Fortnite skins.
It makes sense, considering Michael and Dwight are arguably the series's two most memorable characters. However, this news may disappoint anyone who wanted Jim Halpert or Pam Beesly in the game, but that doesn't mean it couldn't happen.
When will The Office Fortnite skins be in the Item Shop?
AdiraFNInfo reported that TFortnite x The Office will arrive "next update." For reference, according to leaks, the next planned patch is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 22. That means The Office skins could land in the Item Shop anytime between Jan. 22 and Feb. 5. We expect more details over the next few days.
What other cosmetics could this collaboration include?
The Office has become a household name in TV comedies. With that, there are so many unforgettable moments, jokes, and more, making it challenging to determine what else this collab may feature. A safe bet would be the "stapler in the Jello," which appeared in The Office's "Pilot" episode.
That prop would make for a great Back Bling, as would Dwight Schrute's bobblehead. As for Michael Scott, it would be a crime to include the infamous "Dundie" award, which is a recurring, makeshift awards show honoring the employees of Dunder Mifflin.
We'll have to wait and see when The Office Fortnite skins inevitably arrive in the coming days.
