Kai Cenat may have mistakenly blown the lid off of a potential IShowSpeed Fortnite collab. Here’s the latest!

Fortnite's Icon Series collection has grown exponentially over the years, expanding into professional sports, famous musicians, and content creators. Many well-known figures, such as MrBeast, are already in the game, while Kai Cenat's collab is rapidly approaching. The next Icon Series member may also have leaked, and it could be Darren 'IShowSpeed' Watkins Jr.

Although Epic Games has not confirmed the news, the leak appears to be legitimate. Here is everything we know about the situation.

Is IShowSpeed getting a Fortnite collab?

This rumor began on Sept. 9 amid the streamer's nationwide streaming tour through the United States. First spotted by clippedszn, this occurred during Kai Cenat's Mafiathon 3, interestingly enough. The streamer pulled up his Discord app on-screen, which didn't seem out of the ordinary at first. Upon closer inspection, clippedszn pointed out a group called 'IShowSpeed x Fortnite Collab.'

That alone seems like a good reason to believe this partnership will happen. Otherwise, it's worth questioning why this group would exist in the first place. Although not the most secure method, it stands to reason that this group may contain employees of Epic Games.

Many established Icon Series members have explained the process of collaborating with Fortnite developers to outline every aspect of their in-game skin and other cosmetics. Leakers have since circulated the report, drawing more attention to it.

When could this collaboration happen?

Epic Games has yet to confirm anything, so take this leak with a grain of salt for now. However, if it were to happen, it would likely not occur for several months. The developers tend to space out Icon Series collaborations except in sporadic cases.

Since the Kai Cenat skin launches on Friday, Sept. 12, we don't expect to see or hear any news about a potential IShowSpeed Fortnite collab for at least two to three months. However, it is worth questioning why this group appeared in Kai Cenat's Discord. Could the two collabs have something to do with each other?

Who is IShowSpeed?

In case you didn't already know, IShowSpeed is one of the most popular content creators and streamers globally. He began creating content in 2017 and eventually carved out a space for himself in the scene with his personality and intensity.

In the last few years, he has appeared on WWE programming and collaborated with multiple celebrities. He even co-hosted a marathon stream with Kai Cenat, where the two played Fortnite OG consistently over a period of time.

Given his history with Fortnite, an IShowSpeed collab makes sense for the creator and the game. He currently has over 40 million subscribers on YouTube and enjoys worldwide recognition. Only time will tell if there's any merit to this presumed leak.
