Fortnite Web Battles are here and this is how you can unlock free in-game items!
Miles Morales is set to swing into Fortnite soon following a tweet from the game’s Twitter account. With the new movie launching worldwide on June 2, Fortnite has announced an event called Web Battles.
This Fortnite x Spider-Verse collaboration allows players to complete Quests to unlock free rewards. Fortnite Web Battles run from May 18 to May 22, and here’s everything you need to know.
What are Fortnite Web Battles?
Fortnite Web Battles are the latest Spider-Man crossover, which draws directly from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. This limited-time event allows players to unlock free rewards by completing challenges.
For this event, you must affiliate your Epic Games account with either Team Miles or Team 2099. After joining the Fortnite Web Battles, you can start earning points. Each elimination in Battle Royale or Zero Build modes on day one equals one point to your overall score, and the following daily Quests will differ.
How do I join the Fortnite Web Battles?
- Navigate to the event’s website.
- Click Log In at the top of the web page
- Enter your Epic Games account information and confirm the Log In
- Select a team to affiliate with, either Team Miles or Team 2099
- For selecting a team, you’ll receive The Spidey 2099 Logo Spray
Daily Quests
Each day of Fortnite Web Battles features a different task to earn points. Day one is all about eliminations. Fortnite leaker Luuwani was the first to report all challenges, which you can see below.
- One — Eliminate opponents (one point each)
- Two — Deal damage to opponents (one point for every 100 damage)
- Three — Restore your shield (one point for every 100 shield)
- Four — Deal critical damage to opponents (one points every 100 critical damage/headshots)
- Five — Survive Storm Circles
List of rewards and how to earn them
This event offers four rewards to participants, including a Spray, two Emoticons, and a Pickaxe. You will unlock them throughout Fortnite Web Battles, and here is how:
- Log in and choose a team to represent — Unlocks The Spidey 2099 Logo Spray
- Your chosen team earns the most points at the end of a daily battle — Unlocks either the Miguel’s Glare Emoticon or Shocked Miles Emoticon
- Earn a total of 40 points across five daily battles — Unlocks all previous rewards and Spider-Ham’s Mallet Pickaxe with Put ‘Er There Emote
You have until May 22 to unlock all of these rewards.
