Miles Morales is coming soon to a Fortnite near you!

Fortnite’s recurring collaboration with Spider-Man is set to return soon following a tweet from the game’s Twitter account. However, this time it is Miles Morales of the Spider-Verse animated movie series making his Fortnite debut.

While Epic Games has not announced a release date, the rumors are true. Miles Morales Spider-Man will presumably swing into Fortnite ahead of the upcoming Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse ahead of the June 2 release date.

What we know about Miles Morales Spider-Man in Fortnite

Leaks surfaced late last week regarding a potential crossover that would see Miles Morales join the Fortnite roster. This news came as no surprise, considering Epic Games’ relationship with Marvel Comics and Studios.

Fortnite players have seen all Marvel characters, both relevant and obscure, become playable in-game. Epic Games officially confirmed the crossover via Twitter alongside the tagline “Where’s Miles?”

It took fans only a short time to decipher the code. Ahead of the worldwide release of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, fans can soon drop from the Battle Bus as another iteration of the beloved web-slinger.

A brief history of Spider-Man in Fortnite

Miles Morales rumors date back to Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1. This was the same season that saw Spider-Man become a Fortnite Battle Pass character.

Fortnite and Marvel have had a well-documented history dating back to 2018. Regardless, it took three years for Spidey to become a playable character.

It was not even during the Marvel-centric Chapter 2 Season 4, but rather Chapter 3 Season 1. This season saw the debut of a new landscape, including a Spider-Man-themed The Daily Bugle location and the Spider-Man Web Shooters mobility item.

Later in Chapter 3 Season 1, Fortnite collaborated with Marvel Studios to launch a Spider-Man: No Way Home theme, utilizing Tom Holland and Zendaya’s likeness. Then, in Chapter 3 Season 4, Fortnite included Spider-Gwen of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse as the marquee Battle Pass character.
