Fortnite v30.40 patch notes: Fall Guys invades Fortnite

The long-awaited Fortnite x Fall Guys collaboration has arrived via the v30.40 update. Many were wondering whether you’d have the chance to crank 90s as Beans. The answer to that question is yes. This crossover will remain in-game until August 15, and here is everything you need to know!

The Fortnite x Fall Guys crossover in v30.40 begins in Battle Royale, and it’s a fun addition. Players spawning into a match can find a Fall Guys obstacle overhead, high in the sky.

You can access this obstacle course by heading to the Classy Courts point of interest (POI) and looking for “Bean Idols.” We’ve provided an image of these objects above, and you should have little trouble finding them.

Once you have located a Bean Idol in Fortnite v30.40, your character will teleport to the obstacle course. Even better, you will become a Fall Guys Bean before you encounter the various obstacles. By completing the course, you can complete associated Fall Guys Quests to earn in-game rewards.

In addition to earning the Pink Plushie Back Bling, you will also receive loot in your match depending on how quickly you complete the obstacle course.

For Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) and Creative aficionados, Fall Guys assets have arrived. You can now build and launch Fall Guys maps in Fortnite for all players to enjoy. Creators who publish an map will see their creations in the “Fall Guys” section within the “Discover” menu.

Players who select a Fall Guys map will become the Bean version of their Fortnite skin, as long as there is one to match. The blog post explicitly states that only original Fortnite characters possess a Bean style.
