Complete Fortnite skin rarity list
Fortnite's rarity list for skins is the same as every other item, weapon, and cosmetic in the game. Below is the complete Fortnite skin rarity list:
- Common
- Uncommon
- Rare
- Epic
- Legendary
While many consider skins rare due to different reasons, such as when the skin was last in the Item Shop or if it was a limited-time release, the actual rarity list just goes by Fortnite's own system. Legendary skins are usually just cooler skins that are more expensive in the Item Shop, whereas Common skins can be cheap and less exciting to look at.
This means that even a Common skin can be considered rare amongst different Fortnite players, as the community has created its own form of rarity.

Where to see a skin's rarity
If you are in the Item Shop on Fortnite, all you have to do is click on the skin and it will tell you on the side what the rarity is. The same goes for skins you already own that are in your Locker. Simply search up the skin, click on it, and you will learn of its rarity.
Unfortunately, you cannot see a skin's rarity when in a game. Sometimes, you will come across a skin that looks incredibly cool or rare when playing the game. Having the ability to see what the skin's rarity is right then and there would be useful, but there is no such feature in the game at the moment.
