The White and Black Rangers from Power Rangers: Dino Thunder headline this unexpected Fortnite collaboration!
In recent history, Fortnite has rarely shocked its audience with a collaboration. Leakers usually have the jump on the intel and swiftly release it to the masses ahead of Epic Games' formal announcement. However, a Fortnite crossover with the niche Power Rangers spin-off "Dino Thunder" managed to evade leakers until the developer revealed it themselves.
Sure enough, Epic Games casually announced two characters from Dino Thunder will appear in-game with a release date of Thursday, Feb. 19. Here's everything you need to know!
The Fortnite x Power Rangers: Dino Thunder collab drops on Feb. 19
Fortnite's official post revealed that the Black and White Rangers from Dino Thunder will join the other Power Rangers when they land in the Item Shop at 7 p.m. ET on Feb. 19. While perhaps bizarre, considering only the Black Ranger would be considered a main character, he and the White Ranger are arguably the two most memorable.
Based on the brief footage shown in the Item Shop preview, the two characters will be available in a Fortnite x Dino Thunder Bundle. It appears the two will carry their respective Brachio Staff and Drago Sword as Pickaxes while the Emote resembles the morphing animation specific to Dino Thunder.

Who are these characters?
The Black Ranger of Dino Thunder is none other than Power Rangers legend Tommy Oliver, portrayed by the late Jason David Frank. In the series, he's a science teacher who joins the new Red, Blue, and Yellow Rangers. Tommy represents the Brachiozord in this iteration of the Power Rangers.
As for the White Ranger, he is a fellow school student, Trent Fernandez-Mercer. He spent a good portion of Dino Thunder as an antagonist alongside the primary villain Mesogog, but eventually became a protagonist later in the series.
These two will join all six of the original Power Rangers in Fortnite on Feb. 19. We expect more details in the lead-up to 7 p.m. on Thursday, including pricing and the other cosmetics included. Solo Leveling is another collab arriving this weekend, so there's no shortage of excitement in Fortnite.
