Fortnite OG, Season 7 is almost here, as the game has revealed an official release date for the Chapter 1, Season 7 remake.
Alongside the game's regular season, Fortnite OG has been trucking along with hundreds of thousands of players flocking to the game mode every single day. Its recreation of the classic Chapter 1 seasons has been nothing but extremely popular, and Fortnite OG, Season 7, is about to drop, as the game has given us an official release date.
Official Fortnite OG, Season 7 release date
As my good friend, Jon Snow, would say, "Winter is coming." Yep, and with winter comes Fortnite OG, Season 7. The original Chapter 1, Season 7 was a huge hit with players, as it took on a wintery biome for part of the map, with Viking characters, an evil ice demon and more.
So, when does Fortnite OG, Season 7 release? The official OG Season 7 releases on December 11, 2025.

This is perfect timing, as the original season was released back in 2018 on December 6. Fortnite does not miss a beat.
The season has quite a bit to offer and gave fans some of the best locations and skins within Fortnite history, making it an OG season for fans to get incredibly excited about.
What to look forward to in Season 7
Chapter 1, Season 7 was undoubtedly one of Fortnite's best seasons in Chapter 1 (maybe in Fortnite history). It gave us the Ice King, which was the final Battle Pass skin and the ruler of one of the game's new locations, Polar Peak.
The game also included a brand new winter biome in the lower left-hand corner, with various new locations and some other ones being frosted over. The infamous Viking ship was added to the game, too, but was not a named POI.

However, Season 7 also included Happy Hamlet, which was very similar to Misty Meadows from Chapter 2, and is a location many players are looking forward to exploring again.
However, there was one feature Fortnite added in Season 7 that many players are looking forward to experiencing again: Planes.
Planes are returning
Chapter 1, Season 7 was Fortnite's first and final time featuring planes in the game. These bi-planes allowed players to fly across the map, shooting at other competitors and planes. You could even fit your entire squad on a plane.
And now, with Fortnite OG, Season 7 about to drop, many are getting excited to explore the map through air travel again.

Since then, the game has released other forms of flying, including alien ships and helicopters, but these planes never saw the light of day again after Chapter 1, Season 7.
