Here’s everything we know about Fortnite Chapter 6!

Only two seasons remain in Fortnite Chapter 5 once Season 3 ends in August. As a result, Chapter 6 is on the horizon, with a new map and experience awaiting. Although we are roughly five months away from Chapter 6, the leaks have begun. Reputable sources within the Fortnite scene confirmed a December 1 release date and gave fans an idea of what to expect. Here is everything we know about Fortnite Chapter 6.

Fortnite Chapter 6 set to launch on December 1

The leaked Fortnite 2024 roadmap provided context for what to expect and when to expect it. However, it did not include precise dates. Today, Fortnite leaker Jorge Most, who also leaked the NewJeans collab, confirmed Fortnite Chapter 6 will launch on December 1. That aligns perfectly with the roadmap.

Swinging mechanic and first-person mode included in the leaks

Following the release date leak, HYPEX and others jumped in to tease what players can expect in Fortnite Chapter 6. First and foremost, prone and swinging mechanics are coming to the game. A prone animation will be entirely new to Fortnite while swinging has been possible in the past with Grapple Gloves and the Spider-Man Mythics. It's unclear how this swinging mechanic will work, but it will presumably be a permanent fixture in the game.

Additionally, HYPEX mentions new game modes, creative pet support, and a "Floating Islands" theme. Another well-known leaker, ShiinaBR, added fuel to the fire, saying that the long-rumored first-person game mode will arrive in Fortnite Chapter 6.

Epic Games has teased a first-person perspective in Fortnite for some time, particularly in the recent Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN) showcase. With the possibility of this style of gameplay in Battle Royale, it could completely revolutionize Fortnite. Ultimately, we'll have to wait and see what more comes out, but these changes are unquestionably massive for Fortnite's future.
