Disney's first-ever D23 Fortnite event just concluded, and it was a historic turnout from a player's perspective. More than 1 million players tuned in to see what Disney and Epic Games have prepared for the future of Fortnite. With the upcoming Chapter 5 Season 4 launch confirmed to center around Marvel, the D23 event provided plenty of exciting details. Here is everything we learned.

D23 Fortnite event reveals the complete Chapter 5 Season 4 trailer

We are leading off with a heavy hitter on this one. To round out the D23 Fortnite event, the President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, announced exciting new collaborations in Fortnite. However, before signing off, fans witnessed the epic trailer for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4: Absolute Doom.

The Battle Pass skins that will be available in Chapter 5 Season 4 are as follows:

  • Gwenpool (unlocked instantly)
  • War Machine
  • Peelverine
  • Emma Frost
  • Captain Jonesy
  • Mysterio
  • Shuri

The trailer also featured some new points of interest (POIs) and fan-favorite weapons, such as the Stark Industries Energy Rifle. Overall, it looks like an incredible offering, and the wait is on.

Disney Villains are coming to Fortnite this fall

The D23 Fortnite event opened with an announcement that a trio of Disney Villains is due to arrive this fall. Although the trailer was short, the characters shown included Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, and Maleficent. Beyond those three, it's unclear what other Disney Villains could be coming to Fortnite.

Pixar's Incredibles skins are also coming this fall

Following the Disney Villains announcement, the D23 Fortnite event dropped another bombshell. The first round of Pixar characters are coming this fall in the form of The Incredibles. This collaboration makes sense, considering Disney announced that The Incredibles 3 is currently in production. The Fortnite x Incredibles sneak peek featured Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, and Frozone.

The final revelation that preceded the Chapter 5 Season 4 trailer revolved around Star Wars, a franchise that has collaborated with Fortnite many times. This trailer showcased IG-11 and Moff Gideon, but neither drew more attention than another Grogu (Baby Yoda) Back Bling. Unlike the one released previously, this one looks more practical and equally adorable.
