CouRageJD has announced he will join the Fortnite Icon Series after years of memes and ridicule. Here’s when the reveal will happen and more!
Content creator Jack "CouRageJD" Dunlop will soon become the next member of the Fortnite Icon Series. Mere days after Fortnite announced that the creator's dog would become an in-game Sidekick, it appears that was all a ruse and part of a creative marketing campaign.
CouRageJD has officially teased his long-awaited Fortnite collaboration, which he will reveal on Monday, Dec. 8. The memes at the creator's expense will soon come to an end, much to his delight.
The Fortnite Icon Series will welcome CouRageJD soon
The announcement came during CouRage's Dec. 7 stream, where he teased his first-ever Fortnite collaboration. This followed a hilarious situation from a few days prior, where Epic Games revealed that CouRage's dog, Louis, would become the youngest Icon Series member and the first Icon Sidekick.
While it seemed inevitable that CouRageJD would join the Icon Series next, the timing was unclear. The first teaser shown on CouRage's stream depicted a therapy session with Fortnite's lovable mascot, Peely. He explained his frustration that all his friends had received Icon skins before him.
Teaser number two, which featured the in-game skins of Ninja, Nick Eh 30, and SypherPK, provided a glimpse at CouRageJD's skin. Although it's difficult to see, you can make out some of the details.
You will want to tune into CouRageJD's stream on Dec. 8 at 11 a.m. PST / 2 p.m. EST to see the full breakdown of what his Fortnite Icon Series collaboration will include.
Louis the Sidekick to hit the Item Shop on Dec. 17
On a related note, Fortnite's official X account revealed that the Louis Sidekick will land in the Item Shop on Dec. 17. It's unclear whether that will be the release date of CouRageJD's Icon collab, but it seems likely. However, we will know for sure when the stream goes live on Dec. 8.
For the content creator, it's perhaps the most significant moment of his career. He is one of the OG players and even had the privilege to cast the Fortnite World Cup Finals in 2019. Of late, he has been back on the Fortnite grind, culminating in this long-awaited achievement.
