$2 million Fortnite Global Championship 2025 heads to France for yearly LAN

Competitive Fortnite heads to France this fall for the 2025 Fortnite Global Championship. Since its inception in 2022, the year's most significant LAN event has bounced back and forth between North America and Europe. Epic Games and tournament organizer BLAST have confirmed the LDLC Arena in Lyon-Décines, France, will host all 33 qualified trios with a $2 million prize pool.

North America has remained the hub of competitive Fortnite for much of its lifespan. New York City hosted the first and only Fortnite World Cup in 2019. The game officially returned to LAN in 2022 after a three-year hiatus due to the global pandemic. Since then, the events have occurred in Raleigh, North Carolina, Copenhagen, Denmark, and Forth Worth, Texas.

Epic Games recently confirmed the rumor that France would host the 2025 Fortnite Global Championship at the LDLC Arena in Lyon-Décines on Sept. 6 and 7. A total of 33 trios across the game's seven competitive regions will be in attendance to compete for a share of $2 million.

An official blog from the Fortnite Competitive team has confirmed that the FNCS Global Championship will move forward only as the Fortnite Global Championship. BLAST will host the 2025 Rocket League World Championship.

Those looking to attend the 2025 Fortnite Global Championship in France should stay tuned to Fortnite's social media channels. Details about ticket prices and more will go live on Feb. 13 or 14 for anyone in the eastern U.S. time zone.
