It’s console players’ time to shine in the competitive Fortnite scene. On the heels of the FNCS Global Championship, the console community will round out Chapter 4 Season 4 with the Fortnite Console Champions Cup. This Zero Build and Battle Royale tournament is open to qualified Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch players in all six competitive regions.

The three-day, four-round event kicks off Friday, October 27, and concludes on October 29 with the Grand Finals. Here is everything you need to know about the console-only competition.

Fortnite Console Champions Cup: Format and qualification explained

The Console Champions Cup offers two separate tracks for the console community: one for Battle Royale Duos and another for Zero Build Duos. These two tournaments will coincide, meaning teams can only compete in one.

In terms of the format, the Zero Build and Battle Royale tournaments are the same. Each features four rounds of action with a three-hour session per round. Duos must qualify through to each round by finishing inside a pre-determined placement threshold, which we have outlined below.

The goal is to gain as many points as possible through placement, eliminations, and mid-match objectives on your path to the Fortnite Console Champions Cup Grand Finals.

Format

  • Duos (Zero Build or Battle Royale)
  • Three-hour session in Rounds 1, 2, 3, and 4
  • A maximum of ten matches in Rounds 1, 2, and 3
  • A maximum of six matches in Round 4

Qualification

Round 1 to Round 2

  • Europe, NA, and BR: Top 2,000 teams in each Region
  • Asia and Middle East: Top 1,000 teams in each Region
  • OCE: Top 500 teams in the Region

Round 2 to Round 3

  • All Regions: Top 250 teams in each Region

Round 3 to Round 4 (Grand Finals)

  • All Regions: Top 50 teams in each Region

How to compete

The Fortnite Console Champions Cup is open to all console players ranked Platinum or above in the game’s Zero Build or Battle Royale ranked mode. If you are below Platinum, the tournament will not be available.

Additionally, you must ensure you meet the following requirements:

  • You must have two-factor authentication enabled on your Epic Games account
  • Your account level must be 50 or higher

If you meet all of these prerequesites, launch Fortnite on your console of choice, head to the "Compete" tab and choose which of the two Console Champions Cup competitions you'd like.
