This latest chapter of the SNK x Capcom collaboration brings an even stronger Street Fighter 6 presence to Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. Fans have responded positively, though many are eager to see the developers take the crossover even further.

Exchanging characters between FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves (CotW) and Street Fighter 6 (SF6) was an extraordinary occasion on its own. Mai and Terry joined SF6. Ken and Chun-Li are playable in FATAL FURY.

Now this collaboration intensifies, bringing new costumes and story mode elements — to City of the Wolves, so far. SNK released an announcement trailer rather unexpectedly. The community spotted many interesting details.

Metro City stage in FATAL FURY CotW

The collaboration trailer reveals a new stage in FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves. It copies a Metro City location from Street Fighter 6. It's a yard near Luke's dojo.

One of the background buildings features an image of Manon. Will the fashion icon join FATAL FURY as well?

A new story chapter: SF6 in Episodes of South Town (EOST)

The single-player story mode in FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves receives a new episode. The trailer suggests that JP from SF6 used his dark powers to corrupt Terry Bogard and transform him into Kage Terry, the final boss.

Kage Terry uses the signature Akuma move — Raging Demon.

If you’ve forgotten the useful shortcut for executing the Raging Demon, this video offers a refresher.

The story fights in FATAL FURY EOST feature opponents from the World Tour mode in SF6: box-head gangsters and fridges.

While playing the Street Fighter story in FATAL FURY CotW, players can unlock typical SF6 skills. The trailer revealed one that looks like the Drive System moves: Rush and Impact.

Final Fight Carlos in FATAL FURY CotW

As for even more details from the trailer, don't miss the opponent of Tezoc and Terry in the EOST part of the trailer. While showing us SF6 skills, SNK put Carlos Miyamoto on the screen. He comes from the Final Fight beat 'em up series by Capcom.

The community immediately had theories about Carlos being one of the mysterious characters in FATAL FURY CotW Season 2.

When does this Street Fighter collaboration come to FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves?

An interesting detail about this date is that the same update brings the next DLC character to FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves. Nightmare Geese joins the game on  Feb. 26, too.

Within the fighting game community (FGC), players have also expressed continued interest in seeing Mai’s classic costume return, along with the addition of Kage Terry to the playable roster. The most popular request is about the next game in the collaboration series: SNK vs Capcom 3. Fans are going as far as proclaiming that this is a project in development. Perhaps this manifesting can work.
