The final Smash Ultimate DLC will be announced in just a few week’s time. Here’s how to watch.

It seems we’ll have to wait just a little longer to find out the final Super Smash Bros Ultimate DLC. Announced today during the Nintendo Direct, the final Mr. Sakurai Presents will be aired on October 5, 2021 at 10 am Eastern, 7 am Pacific.

Mr. Sakurai presents a series where Smash producer and patron saint Masahiro Sakurai breaks down the character, their moves, the music used from the character’s home series, and always funny matches against the CPU. Given that this is also the final presentation, it’s expected that this will have some special retrospective on the game as a whole from the series producer. It will also be the last time that Sakurai will have for any special surprises, including if (for some reason) the marketing around this being the final character was somewhat of a white lie to surprise fans. If this is truly the final Smash Ultimate DLC fighter, expect Sakurai and crew to go out with a bang.

With 82 fighters, Smash Ultimate has perhaps the largest and most inclusive roster across anywhere in gaming, and has been long considered more than just a fighting game. Rather, it’s become a celebration of the biggest and brightest in gaming.

There are many characters that are speculated for this final slot, including Kingdom Hearts’ Sora, Halo’s Master Chief, among many others.
