SNK Corporation has released this arcade classic on Steam. It features rollback netcode and more.

SNK Corporation has announced the modern re-release of REAL BOUT FATAL FURY 2: THE NEWCOMERS on Steam! It also has rollback netcode and expanded multiplayer features.

REAL BOUT FATAL FURY 2: THE NEWCOMERS gets rollback netcode

REAL BOUT FATAL FURY 2: THE NEWCOMERS is now on Steam for $19.99 USD, allowing players to duke it out in the 1998 arcade classic with rollback netcode, expanded online lobbies, plus a slew of bonus content. For example, players can enter local matches or compete globally in tournaments across multiple formats such as single elimination, double elimination, and round robin.

According to the official announcement, the game features 23 playable characters. These include Terry Bogard, Mai Shiranui, Li Xiangfei and Rick Strowd, and even Alfred.

In terms of what else to expect from REAL BOUT FATAL FURY 2: THE NEWCOMERS, its re-release also includes Spectator Mode, Gallery Mode, plus a fully-equipped Practice Mode.

Practice Mode, in particular, includes speed settings, record-and-replay options, and a hitbox viewer. Gallery Mode, meanwhile, features 59 pieces of classic Fatal Fury art and media. Examples include key art and character portraits galore.
