Alongside the reveal of the final character in the basic roster, Invincible VS let us peek into the upcoming Season 1 DLC. These two new fighters have very different goals in the original story, and they bring a nice diversity of vibes into the game.
Upon release, the fighting game Invincible VS has 18 playable characters. This variety is really great, including the Guardians of the planet, Viltrumites, and even an exclusive superhero.
Plans on the release of Year 1 Character Pass were confirmed earlier. We knew that the first set of DLC includes four new characters. During the Evo Awards 2026, QUARTER UP announced who exactly joins Invincible VS this summer.
Immortal and Universa are the first two DLC characters for Invincible VS
You know the Immortal well if you’ve watched the anime. The hero is present there from Season 1 — ironically, we could witness his death a few times. The Immortal’s key feature is his ability to revive even after severe injuries.
Cecil and his agency turned out to be consistent in bringing the Immortal back to life — so that the Immortal continues protecting the Earth. Omni-Man and Invincible were the reasons for the Immortal losing his thousand-year-long life.
It will be interesting to see if the revival can be implemented as part of the fighting games moveset.
Universa is better known from the Invincible Comic books, as she is featured only in Season 4 of the anime so far. This warrior from another planet has come to Earth to drain energy to save her own world. First, she didn’t care about the consequences of this step. Invincible opened her eyes: with violence first and then with persuasion.
The might of Universa comes from her staff, and we can expect it to be very helpful in the Invincible VS fights.
Invincible VS Year 1 DLC details
In total, there will be four characters in Season 1 on Invincible VS.
- Universa and the Immortal arrive in Summer 2026.
- One more character is coming in September.
- The final Invincible VS character of Year 1 DLC is planned for December 2026.
How to unlock Immortal and Universa
If you purchase the Deluxe edition on any platform or the Collector’s Edition on the PS5, you have all four DLC characters of Invincible VS Year 1 included.
Also, they are available via Invincible VS Year 1 Pass or as individual purchases.
The final character for the Invincible VS base roster is Conquest. He represents the most brutal might of the Viltrum Empire.
The release of Invincible VS is planned for April 30. The game will be available on the PlayStation 5, the Xbox Series S|X, and PC.
