Combo Breaker 2025 hosts an SNK World Championship 2025 qualifier. This means the winner of the FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves tournament advances to the Finals event.
Two other players have already gotten their qualification spots.
- Zeng "Xiaohai" Zhuojun is the winner of FATAL FURY Evo Japan 2025. It is no surprise to see this KOF legend performing well with the new SNK game.
- Shoji "Fenritti" Sho won his spot at the Brussels Challenge Major Edition 2025. The player is one of the best in DBFZ, winning its World Tour Finals 2022-23.

The next two big FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves events happen right after Combo Breaker. Headstomper 2025 in Sweden and Battle Arena Melbourne 15 in Australia are from May 30 to June 1. They are also SNK World Championship and Esports World Cup qualifiers.
