Evo 2024 gets over 10,000 competitors

Taking place between July 19 and 21, Evo 2024 will feature a total of 10,224 players from 63 countries. Evo 2024 will mark the event's first year at the Las Vegas Convention Center as well. The tournament will feature brackets for games such as TEKKEN 8, Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat 1, The King of Fighters XV, and more.

"We are seeing more and more of the community exercising their competitive spirit with us in Las Vegas each year," Evo general manager Rick Thiher said. "The wonderful thing about fighting games is that while there are generations of players returning year after year, there is always a new generation greeting them at Evo and aspiring to make a name for themselves."

Thiher continued, noting how Evo is special in terms of watching players cement their legacy across generations and how these generations connect as a community and culture all in one place.
