Top 8

The top 8 players started their final run with the following matches. The upper brackets were about the North America versus South America. battle again. Only one European player reached so far at BCX 2024, Godly. Otherwise, the lower brackets were occupied by North America.

Winners Semi-Final
Losers Round 1
Kyna 3:0 Raydish
Teros vs Red Raptor
flower 0:3 Marckiemoo
Yumiko vs Mordex
yüz 3:0 BalloonBoy
Jaeyun vs Devil Jin (Zariel)
Godly 3:0 Impala
Mordex vs Koji

With slower Brawlhalla weapons, Kyna was still better at landing hits. Quick Red Raptor just couldn't avoid those Axe/Hammer attacks of Teros.

Then, yüz, the master of Greatsword and the defending Brawlhalla World Champion, destroyed his opponent in the winners semi. BalloonBoy tried to adapt, and he started really fighting yüz in Game 3. That obviously was too late.

In losers Round 1, Godly eliminated Impala, the Brawlhalla World Champion 2022. In two first games, Godly managed to get an early advantage, and Impala couldn't recover from that: even in much closer Game 3.

flower played an unusual Brawlhalla Legends as for top-level tournaments. He used Signatures of Yumiko to set traps so well! This allowed flower to get stock advantages. However, Marckiemoo on Mordex recovered excellently and won three games to nothing.

Losers quarter-finals
Godly 3:1 Raydish
Mordex vs Red Raptor
Marckiemoo 3:1 BalloonBoy
Mordex vs Devil Jin (Zariel)

Gauntlets of Mordex were such a dangerous weapon in the hands of Godly. Even after losing Game 1, the European champion succeeded in the rest of a super close BCX 2024 match against Raydish.

Marckiemoo proved the power of Mordex once again while facing another Gauntlets Legend. The player demonstrated miracles of the off-stage play, and Marckiemoo eliminated BalloonBoy from the Brawlhalla World Championship 2024.

Top 4

Winners Final
Losers semi-final
Kyna 3:2 yüz
Teros vs Jaeyun
Godly 2:3 Marckiemoo
Mordex vs Mordex

Players yüz and Kyna are the best Brawlhalla players in South America, and they faced each other a lot in the regional tournaments. On the great international stage, they demonstrated an amazingly close match, which could easily go both ways. After back-and-forth games, Kyna and yüz reached the decisive one. Teros sent Jaeyun to losers final.

In the elimination brackets, we saw a mirror match: two Mordex players. This Gauntlets/Scythe Legend has a great presence at pro Brawlhalla esports events. Godly had some amazing moments, including a recovery from a stock disadvantage. But Marckiemoo managed to get himself together, reach Game 5, and defeat his mighty opponent. Godly made an unbelievable run in the lower brackets of the tournament, but he was eliminated in the losers semi.

Losers Final
Grand final
Granf final reset
yüz 3:1 Marckiemoo
Jaeyun vs Mordex
Kyna 0:3 yüz
Teros vs Jaeyun
Kyna 0:4 yüz
Teros, Yumiko vs Jaeyun

Marckiemoo was really close to staying alive in Game 4 of this match. He burned away the initial advantage of yüz, but one good hit with Greatsword ruined that effort. North America lost the last representative at the Brawlhalla World Championship 2024.

Grand final: BCX 2024

In the grand final, yüz won three games unexpectedly quickly. Kyna could respond properly only in the final game, but that did not save him from the brackets reset.

Probably, picking Terminus, a stage with three soft platforms, wasn't a good idea for Kyna. He lost two games on it in the first match, and he returned to Terminus in the reset — for yüz to win Game 1 dominantly. To shift the balance, Kyna picked Yumiko. The fight was much closer, but yüz still won it with a two-stock advantage.

For Game 3, yüz and Kyna decided to play on Mishima Dojo. Once again, three soft platforms worked better for yüz! With the momentum on his side, yüz won the match and the tournament.

Therefore, yüz is the Brawlhalla 2024 World Champion. It's his back-to-back title.

In addition to the rewards from the BCX stream, you can participate in the timed event mission and earn free Brawlhalla esports colors. The game invites players to participate in online matchmaking and win the all-Legends color scheme in Brawlhalla.

Usually, they are available only via the viewership rewards program: during the official tournaments, such as the most recent online Brawlhalla Trial of Freya. For the limited time, the classic esports v.2 all-legends color scheme is available via a special mission inside the game.

As for 2020 and 2021, there were only online regional finals due to the pandemic limitations.

Who can win the title in 2024?

A great thing about Brawlhalla esports is that new champions may emerge unexpectedly and ruin all the predictions.

  • In 2022, Impala celebrated his World Championship victory. Hardly anyone foreseen him to reach that level back then.
  • In 2023, yüz won the title and started the current era of South American domination.

This year, Brawlhalla players from South America are very strong. Kyna won Spring Royale 2024 and Midseason Championship 2024: two out of three international events so far.

Sandstorm had a few successful events, but he won only North American tournaments, such as the Trial of Skuld. Raydish finished 1st in two Trials, so he also has a good chance at BCX 2024.

Marckiemoo is a fresh name in the top-level Brawlhalla esports. The player had good results in the online Trials. To cement the status of a successful breakthrough, Marckiemoo won the Autumn Royale 2024.

While Godly is amazingly powerful in the EU region, he somewhat struggles during the international tournaments. The player still is always a threat. The most recent Trial demonstrated the rise of young European competitors: bamya and Ra1n finished in the top 2.

Looking back at the Brawlhalla Esports Year 9

The competitive scene of Brawlhalla changed a lot this year. A new format was introduced with mainly online tournaments in the yearly schedule.

The pro players got their prize money cut significantly — there were no big announcements over $1 million in the prize pool. The esports community survived and adapted. Now, people are looking forward to the Year 10 announcements.

For the content department, Brawlhalla got a few new Legends and a few collaboration events since BCX 2023.

New Legends
Crossovers
SevenSpongeBob SquarePants (SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy)
ViviStar Wars (Anakin Skywalker, Ahsoka Tano, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Vader, and Darth Maul)
ImugiBorderlands (Lilith, Tiny Tina, and Krieg)

Year 10 should bring even more competitive tournaments, characters, and epic crossover skins. For all Brawlhalla news and updates, stick around on esports.gg!
